This page explains what MasLife World TV collects, why we collect it, and the controls you have. It's maintained by the MasLife team and answers common questions about how the platform handles data.
1. What we collect
- Account info: email, display name, optional phone, optional avatar — provided when you sign up or via Google sign-in.
- Uploads: video files, descriptions, location, credit handles, and a file hash used to detect duplicates.
- Usage: views, likes, watch time, comments, shares — to power feeds, analytics, and creator stats.
- Device & log data: IP address, browser/OS, referrer, page path, errors — used for security and performance.
- Email preferences: subscription status and unsubscribe events.
2. How we use it
- Run the video feed, search, comments, likes, and admin tools.
- Send transactional email (welcome, submission confirmation, takedowns, security alerts) and, if you opt in, occasional updates.
- Detect spam, duplicates, abuse, and security incidents.
- Generate aggregate analytics for creators and admins.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Sharing
We share data only with infrastructure providers that help run the platform: Lovable Cloud (database, auth, storage), Cloudflare (video streaming, CDN, DDoS protection), and our email delivery provider. Each is bound by their own privacy commitments.
4. Cookies
We use cookies and localStorage for authentication sessions, age-gate state, install prompts, and basic analytics. You can clear them at any time in your browser.
5. Retention
- Account and uploads stay until you ask us to remove them, or until your account is closed.
- Removed videos sit in the Recycle Bin for 9 days before permanent deletion.
- Security logs and audit trails are retained for a reasonable period to investigate abuse.
6. Your choices
- Update your profile from /settings.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email via the link in any email or at /unsubscribe.
- Request deletion of your account or a specific video via /legal or /takedown.
7. Children
MasLife is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we'll remove it.
8. Security
We use Cloudflare DDoS protection, encrypted connections, row-level database security, role-based admin access, IP-based block lists for failed logins, and audit logs for sensitive admin actions. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
